What we do

Communications analysts play a vital and pivotal role in providing communications counsel and services to departments, media outlets and informing the public on a variety of services and initiatives. We develop and implement communication strategies and plans to support important objectives and respond to emerging issues. The core of our practice is public focused to ensure clear communications and delivery of information to all Yukoners.

Job description
  • Collaboratively develop and implement communication strategies to support the Government of Yukon. This includes using social media, websites and working with media outlets to ensure clear messaging and impactful delivery;
  • organize events such as press releases, news conferences and announcements. Coordinating event logisitics;
  • represent the Government of Yukon in handling media inquiries, preparing departmental spokespersons and being alert to respond to emerging issues of public interest;
  • assists in public consultations to collect information that will inform decision-making and policies; and
  • play an active role in building public trust and helping to deliver programs and services for all Yukoners.
Pay and benefits
Training

Job requirements
  • Degree in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, business or public administration, English (literature), or a related field;
  • experience managing, developing and implementing a full range of communications and marketing initiatives; and
  • experience writing for various audiences and media with expertise in social media management, writing for the web and web publishing.
